Back Office Volunteers at IPBES 9 in Bonn
Pro­fes­sors and Mas­ter stu­dents of the Elite Grad­uate Pro­gram “Global Change Ecol­ogy“ at the Uni­versi­ty of Bay­reuth par­tici­pated in the week-long IP­BES 9 meet­ing in Bonn - either as ob­serv­ers of the con­fer­ence or as vol­un­teers with the IP­BES secre­tariat - and took part in dis­cussion on nu­mer­ous top­ics.

Networking opportunities in Bamberg
The Max Weber Program had to cancel its summer party two years in a row due to the coronavirus pandemic. On June 26, 2022 it was finally possible to meet again. Scholarship holders from all over Bavaria accepted the invitation to the Max Weber summer party in the conference hall in Bamberg.

Con­fer­ence 2022 "Re­think­ing Envi­ron­ment"
On June 24-26, 2022, the Inter­na­tional Doc­torate Pro­gram “Re­think­ing Envi­ron­ment” host­ed its first inter­na­tional con­fer­ence, “Am­biva­lences of Eco­logi­cal Trans­for­mation,” at the Uni­versi­ty of Augsburg, gath­ering schol­ars in multi­ple pan­els, work­shops, a roundtable, and two key­note speakers.

Elite Cup is back! This year, 10 teams from vari­ous Elite Net­work pro­grams have visit­ed Mu­nich for an in­tense day of com­peti­tion and fun, which re­sulted in the Elite Grad­uate Pro­gram Theo­reti­cal and Mathemat­ical Phys­ics (TMP) tak­ing home the Cup.

Picturing the Invisible
Art­ists have made the invis­ible visible for the dou­ble award-win­ning exhi­bition "Pic­turing the Invis­ible". Their work shows the con­se­quences of the great earth­quake disas­ter in east­ern Japan in the Fuku­shima re­gion. In terms of organ­iza­tion and con­tent, the exhi­bition was co-su­pervised by stu­dents of the Elite Grad­uate Pro­gram RE­SET.
