The Elite Network of Bavaria, an initiative of the Free State of Bavaria, provides students and young researchers at Bavarian universities with support through a range of funding and net­wor­king programs. The media library provides an insight into the Elite Network’s activities.

"You're simply the best" - Graduation Ceremony of the Elite Network 2024

Minis­ter of Sci­ence Markus Blume con­gratu­lates all grad­uates of the year 2024 in the Elite Net­work of Ba­varia at a fes­tive cere­mony. 600 guests came to the Marinaforum in Re­gens­burg in De­cem­ber 2024 to cele­brate the suc­cess­ful com­ple­tion of their stud­ies or doc­torates.

20 years of the Elite Network of Bavaria - Anniversary celebration on 3 May 2024

The Free State of Bavaria has been sup­port­ing y­oung ta­lents in sci­ence for 20 years through the Elite Network. Members and sup­por­ters of the net­work ce­lebrated this exemplary mo­del of state sup­port for ta­len­ted stu­dents in May 2024 at the Mu­nich Re­si­dence. Highlights of the event in­cluded a spe­ech by Mi­nister of State Mar­kus Blu­me, a key­note spe­ech by Prof. Mi­chael Hoch, Pre­si­dent of the German Academic Scholar­ship Foundati­on, a lounge con­ver­sati­on with members of the Elite Network of Bavaria, the re­lease of the Elite Network's new cor­pora­te vi­deo and a showroom on 20 years of suc­cess­ful sup­port for gif­ted stu­dents in Bavaria.

Get Together for new members of the Elite Network 2023

Over 300 curi­ous new­com­ers to the Elite Net­work came to the TU Au­dimax on the after­noon of 11 No­vem­ber 2023. The annu­al Get To­geth­ers of­fered new mem­bers the op­por­tunity to get to know the Elite Net­work and make their first con­tacts. In addi­tion to short presenta­tions on the op­prtunites and events of­fered by the Elite Net­work of Ba­varia, there were also plenty of culi­nary de­lights on of­fer.

Graduation Ceremony 2022

The Elite Net­work of Ba­varia con­gratu­lates all grad­uates of the year 2022: In a fes­tive set­ting the grad­uation cere­mony of the Elite Net­work of Ba­varia took place in De­cem­ber 2022 in the Con­gress Hall in Augsburg. More than 400 guests watched the awarding of certif­icates by Minis­ter of State Markus Blume and the even­ing per­for­mance by caba­ret artist Vince Ebert. At the sub­se­quent even­ing buf­fet, the suc­cess­ful com­ple­tion of stud­ies or doc­torates in the Elite Net­work of Ba­varia was cele­brated in high spir­its.

Elite-Cup 2022

At the Elite-Cup, football teams from our various funding lines compete for the prized trophy. The tournament also offers an excellent opportunity to catch up with old friends – and make new ones, too.

The Elite Network of Bavaria, founded by the Free State of Bavaria in 2004, looked back on its fifteen-year success story with a ceremony on 17 May 2019 in the Max-Joseph-Saal of the Munich Residenz. The Elite Network of Bavaria supports outstanding young scientific talent from all over the world with its funding programmes.
