The exper­iment: Com­bine aspir­ing im­mu­nologists, a love of social me­dia, and scien­tific com­muni­cati­on, and see what hap­pens. - The out­come? The for­mation of a group of dedi­cated stu­dents with a pas­sion for im­muno­logi­cal edu­cation and scien­tific out­reach— intro­duc­ing, the iIm­mune Weekly Writ­ers Club!

The sum­mer recep­tion was once again host­ed by State Par­lia­ment Presi­dent Ilse Aign­er at Schleißheim Palace this year. Ten mem­bers of the Elite Net­work of Ba­varia, who have demonstrated ex­cep­tional com­mit­ment, at­tend­ed the event.

This summer, Lindau once again transformed into a hub for scientific exchange between generations. Under the theme of chemistry, eleven young researchers from the Elite Network of Bavaria had the rare opportunity to engage with Nobel Laureates from around the world.

On Saturday, 28 June, about 200 guests accepted the Max Weber Program's invitation to Bayreuth. For the first time in the history of the MWP the grand summer festival took place in the university and festival city on the Red Main River.

The Elite Graduate Program Master of Science in Quantitative Economics hosted the Elite-Cup 2025 on the grounds of the central university sports facility on the Olympic campus.

MPP at Lake Ammersee: The 2025 Annual Meeting of the Marianne-Plehn-Program took place in Herrsching from 13 June to 15 June. Over the weekend, 23 scholarship holders came together to exchange ideas, participate in workshops and to visit the Andechs Monastery Brewery.

On 8 May 2025 Prof. Viktor Leis from the Technical University Munich gave a talk in the special lecture series of the Elite Graduate Program “Software Engineering”. Prof. Leis talked about challenges and concepts for improving query languages for relational databases.

Fieldwork is al­ways excit­ing be­cause it pro­vides a clear­er un­der­stand­ing of what we are actu­ally re­searching. In April, three PhD stu­dents went to Hintereisferner to ac­quire data for the Junior Re­search Group De­LIGHT Framework.

On 27 March 2025, 23 alum­ni and alum­nae of the Elite Net­work of Ba­varia partic­ipated in the DGCH Organ Dona­tion Run in Mu­nich's Eng­lish Gar­den. With their com­mit­ment, they have helped raise public awareness of the topic of organ dona­tion.

In­ven­tive­ness and entre­pre­neurship as game changers - that was the motto of this year's Mu­nich Man­age­ment Col­lo­qui­um. The Elite Net­work of Ba­varia en­abled ten mem­bers to take part in Ger­many's larg­est busi­ness con­gress for indus­try and sci­ence.
