This year, the Max We­ber Pro­gram sent out invita­tions to its tradi­tional sum­mer cele­bra­tion in the beau­tiful Alt­mühl­tal. A well-over 150 guests ac­cept­ed the invita­tion to cele­brate to­geth­er, meet other schol­arship hold­ers and get to know the uni­versi­ty town of Eichstätt.

Students develop innovative device for the treatment of breast cancer
Bud­ding mate­rials scien­tists use 3D print­ing to de­velop physi­cal mod­els that mimic the radia­tion re­sponse of the hu­man breast, for opti­miz­ing vari­ous as­pects of radio­thera­py and for the train­ing of young physi­cians.

AI Newcomer Award 2023 goes to Nora Gourmelon
At the AI Camp, the Ger­man Asso­cia­tion of Com­puter Sci­ence hon­ored ten young re­searchers with the AI-Newcomer Award 2023. Nora Gourmel­on, who is part of the Inter­na­tional Doc­torate Pro­gram "M³OCCA", is one of the awardees.
