Teacher trainees of the Elite Grad­uate Pro­gram “MINT-Leh­ramt PLUS” vis­ited muse­ums, stu­dent labs, and out-of-school learn­ing sites that can enrich school les­sons. Workshops pro­vided new ideas for diffi­cult parent con­versa­tions and stu­dent-centered les­sons.

The stu­dents of the Elite Grad­uate Pro­gram "Inte­grated Im­munology" used their chance to partic­ipate in the Euro­pean Phag­ocyte Workshop 2023 to get a first im­pres­sion of inter­na­tional con­gress­es in the scien­tific field and ex­pand their knowledge around phag­ocytes.

With its FO­RUM event at TU Mu­nich, the Elite Net­work of Ba­varia united the realms of sci­ence and socie­ty to ex­plore the capti­vating and in­credi­bly perti­nent field of neu­rosci­ence.

Stud­ying abroad means great pro­fes­sional as well as per­sonal gain and com­ple­ments do­mes­tic stud­ies in a spe­cial way. That is why the Max We­ber Pro­gram Ba­varia sup­ports its schol­arship hold­ers both finan­cially and non-financial­ly in their plans to study abroad.

The GDSD 2023 at LMU Mu­nich of­fered inter­esting presenta­tions by data scien­tists from indus­try, busi­ness, and sci­ence as well as net­work­ing op­por­tuni­ties for all partic­ipants.

Alumni of the Elite Network of Bavaria met on 24 February for a guided tour of the Bavarian National Theatre in Munich to take the proverbial look behind the scenes.

The sec­ond collo­quium of the Inter­na­tional Doc­torate Pro­gram “Re­think­ing Envi­ron­ment” took place in Feb­ruary at the Uni­versi­ty of Augsburg and at LMU Mu­nich. Dur­ing the event, doc­toral stu­dents pre­sent­ed their re­search pro­gress to the team of peers and advi­sors.

From 30 to 31 Janu­ary, the PhD group of the Inter­na­tional Doc­torate Pro­gram "Re­think­ing Envi­ron­ment" par­tici­pated in a work­shop in Ger­many’s high­est envi­ron­men­tal re­search sta­tion, the ‘Schneef­erner­haus’. Lo­cated just below the Zug­spitze plat­eau, the for­mer hotel is now a cen­tral insti­tution for cli­mate re­search.

Near­ly 300 schol­arship hold­ers and alum­ni gath­ered for the Max We­ber Pro­gram's New Year's Re­cep­tion in the Mu­nich Resi­dence at the end of Janu­ary. The Max We­ber Pro­gram, which is run in coop­era­tion with the Ger­man Aca­demic Scholarship Foun­da­tion, is an im­portant part of the pro­mo­tion of gifted stu­dents in Ba­varia.

Toge­ther with the artist Mar­tin Hab­lesrei­ter the doc­toral stu­dents of the Inter­natio­nal Doc­torate Pro­gram “Rethinking En­vironment” took a closer look at the cultu­ral norms and values that enab­le or limit trans­for­mati­on towa­rds a sustainable food cul­ture.
