Warm and open atmosphere
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the "Max Weber-Abend" took place online once again. More than 200 grantees attended the welcoming event to find out more about the program and to get to know their regional groups. In particular, the Coordination Office of the Elite Network of Bavaria, the Max Weber team and mentors were present.

Practical Programming Course
In this practical course, students implemented numerical algorithms for use on supercomputers. The focus was on the analysis of parallelism as well as the appropriate use of modern software development tools.

8th BGCE Student Paper Prize
Eight finalists have competed for the 8th BGCE Student Paper Prize for excellent student work in the field of Computational Science and Engineering. The decision was taken at the SIAM CS&E conference in early March.
