On lightnings, robots and automation
In the context of the seminar "Extracurricular places of learning", an excursion to the Deutsches Museum and the student labs of the TU Munich was organized. After an exciting guided tour, a visit of the planetarium and a science show, the TUMLabs’ pedagogical concept was presented and the participants tested an automation project designed for pupils.

Expert lecture on an animal model of Morbus Parkinson
In an expert lecture for students of the Elite Graduate Program “Translational Neuroscience”, the invited guest speaker from Canada, Dr James B. Koprich, gave insights into his work on an animal model of Parkinson's disease reflecting the clinical and pathological features and being used in therapy development.

ASML – The (Hidden) Champion of Lithography
Under a cooperation arrangement in place with Dutch company ASML, a group of students from the Elite Graduate Program “Advanced Optical Technologies” traveled to the ASML headquarters to learn more about the latest developments in optical lithography systems. The arrangement also gives students the opportunity to complete internships and master’s theses at ASML.
