Research Scholarships
at a glance

With our Research Scholarship Program we are able to give financial support to especially well qualified graduate students even outside our structured doctorate programs. Apart from receiving financial benefits, the scholarship holders can profit from participating in excellence program, which consists of academic assistance, vocational preparation and character building elements.

The legal basis for the support is the Bavarian Elite Aid Act (BayEFG). The graduate scholarships are distributed by Universität Bayern e.V.

Junior Research Groups
at a glance

The goal of establishing International Junior Research Groups is to attract excellently qualified junior researchers to Bavarian universities. Their research projects are to be established within the framework of Elite Graduate Programs or International Doctorate Programs of the Elite Network of Bavaria.

In this way, the Elite Graduate Programs and the International Doctorate Programs expand or complement their scientific program while the International Junior Research Groups are integrated into a scientifically highly-attractive environment.

Icon Spintronics with Graphene

Sebastian Ringer, member of the Research Scholarship Program, does research on the increased spin scattering mechanism present in real samples like graphene. Here he decribes his measurements regarding the anisotropy of the spin relaxation time, which involves non-local Hanle measurements with different orientations of the applied magnetic field.
