Every scholarship holder of the Max Weber-Program receives an education allowance of 900 Euros per semester, which is paid out on 1st October and 1st April respectively. This allowance is meant to be used for personal, education-oriented activities and does not take the students’ or their parents’ income into account.

Scholarship holders of the Max Weber-Program are allowed to receive student support from one of the organizations for the promotion of young talent (“Begabtenförderungswerke”), e.g. the German National Academic Foundation (“Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes”). However, the semester allowance for personal, education-oriented activities will not be disbursed if the scholarship holders receive similar financial benefits from other programs. Please note that some organizations for the promotion of young talent (“Begabtenförderungswerke”) do not allow a simultaneous sponsorship by two institutions. It is generally not possible to receive support both from the Max Weber-Program and the Germany Scholarship ("Deutschlandstipendium").
