Peter Kreß, alum­nus of the Max We­ber Pro­gram, re­ports on his ex-pe­rienc­es at the 8th Lindau Meet­ing in Eco­nomic Sci­ences.

Etienne Pablo Dame stud­ies phi­loso­phy and histo­ry at the Uni­versi­ty of Augsburg. From 10 to 17 Au­gust 2025 the Max We­ber Pro­gram schol­arship holder took part in the FANE Field School in New­foundland, Can­ada, and re­ceived sup­port for this from the MWP “Re­search In-Situ” pro­gram.

The exper­iment: Com­bine aspir­ing im­mu­nologists, a love of social me­dia, and scien­tific com­muni­cati­on, and see what hap­pens. - The out­come? The for­mation of a group of dedi­cated stu­dents with a pas­sion for im­muno­logi­cal edu­cation and scien­tific out­reach— intro­duc­ing, the iIm­mune Weekly Writ­ers Club!

Head of the Elite Grad­uate Pro­gram “Standards of Deci­si­on-Making Across Cul­tures (SDAC)” Prof. Jean-Bap­tiste Petti­er host­ed the Sci-en­tific Net­work An­thropology of Chi­na(s) in Waischen­feld al-low­ing stu­dents in­sight into re­search.

The sum­mer recep­tion was once again host­ed by State Par­lia­ment Presi­dent Ilse Aign­er at Schleißheim Palace this year. Ten mem­bers of the Elite Net­work of Ba­varia, who have demonstrated ex­cep­tional com­mit­ment, at­tend­ed the event.

In a project course, students of the Elite Graduate Program "East European Studies" researched the continuities between the Nazi and the postwar periods. The resulting exhibition is now also available online.

Professors and students of FAU’s Elite Graduate Program Advanced Signal Processing and Communications Engineering (ASC) welcomed international guest speakers for a one-day workshop.

The MSNE Reun­ion Event 2025 brought to­gether alum­ni, stu­dents, and facul­ty mem­bers to cele­brate ten years of the Elite Grad­uate Pro­gram “Neu­roen­gi­neer­ing” at TUM.

This summer, Lindau once again transformed into a hub for scientific exchange between generations. Under the theme of chemistry, eleven young researchers from the Elite Network of Bavaria had the rare opportunity to engage with Nobel Laureates from around the world.

On Saturday, 28 June, about 200 guests accepted the Max Weber Program's invitation to Bayreuth. For the first time in the history of the MWP the grand summer festival took place in the university and festival city on the Red Main River.
