“You have proven your flexibility and successfully mastered today’s challenges. You can be proud of your achievements.“ Bavarian State Minister of Science and the Arts, Bernd Sibler, welcomes and honors the graduates of the Elite Network of Bavaria at the digital graduation ceremony 2021.
About 900 graduates of the international and interdisciplinary network had the chance to participate in the first digital graduation ceremony of the Elite Network of Bavaria. In his welcome speech, the Bavarian State Minister of Science and the Arts emphasized the diverse activities and experiences offered to the over 10000 active members and alumni of the network.
He appealed to all graduates of the five funding programs to stay committed to scientific excellence and to pursue their innovative ideas.
The official part of the evening was framed by diverting music, which was broadcast from the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts. Jochen Pfister and Christina Jung performed „A night like this“ by Caro Emerald and „They can’t take that away from me“ by George Gershwin in honor of this year’s graduates. Physicist and magician Thomas Fraps astonished the participants with his entertaining presentation and magic show about how your brain plays tricks on you.
