Neuroscience Soirée in Munich

On July 23rd 2019, the renowned neuroscientist Professor Israel Nelken from the Edmond & Lily Safra Center for Brain Sciences (ELSC) at the Hebrew University Jerusalem in Israel gave a talk on "Inhibitory circuits in the supragranular layers of auditory cortex”.

Over 60 people gathered for this truly informative as well as entertaining Soirée during which students and lecturers of the Elite Graduate Program M.Sc. Biomedical Neuroscience discussed current trends of neuroscience in an environment of domain experts.

The talk was followed by a reception at the historical Harrach Villa at Biederstein Campus of the University Hospital rechts der Isar, where people had the chance to talk and build networks in a relaxed atmosphere with the other attendees.

The ELSC and the Hebrew University Jerusalem are an important cooperation partner of the Elite Graduate Program M.Sc. Biomedical Neuroscience. This upcoming September all students will conduct a one week lab research in Eilat, Israel, in which students and lecturers of the Hebrew University Jerusalem will take part as well.
