The International Doctorate Program NanoBioTechnology offers an ambitious education and research program with intensive support for excellent young scientists who are interested in interdisciplinary research. The program contains faculty members from Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Geology, and Environmental Sciences as well as Medicine. It is administrated by the Center for NanoScience (CeNS) from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich and the institutes of Augsburg University and TU Munich. The program offers outstanding graduate students doctoral scholarships in the area of NanoBioTechnology.

Regular lectures, seminars, and summer and winter schools provide the students with an effective introduction into the interdisciplinary fields of Nano- and Biotechnology. Early in the program, students are given the opportunity to participate in international conferences as well as in exchange programs with other NanoBioTechnology Centers. In this project the lectures and seminars are held in English.
